rocket league autumn update is coming to all platforms on september 28. after autumn update, what features will they add in the game in future? today psyonix share us what they are going to do in later 2017.
tournaments beta
the tournaments is absolutely exciting competition game mode that you need to defeat different competitor and win the goal. but this mode is not available in the game, you have to register a tournament on third-party websites. as hoping all of the players in the game can enjoy tournament without having to leave the game client, psyonix has been wanting to lead a tournament system into rocket league since the game launched in july 2015.
the tournament beta will be launched before the end of 2017. now they confirm that the beta will run through steam. and psyonix notes that this tournament beta will be "pc-only," it's because steam allows to make changes and collect performance feedback more rapidly than any other platform. they will have time to digest feedback and make appropriate changes. then, tournament will be available for all platforms as a regular feature. all other information, like timing and sign-up details will be revealed closer to the beta’s launch.
party time
psyonix intends to build a new party system via psynet. this will be integrated directly in rocket league, so you can party up directly via psynet instead of the party systems currently used through steam, xb live, or the PS network.
party time will be tested alone with a tournaments beta when it finished. the first test will be limited on steam for the same reason. on this system, your steam friend list information will be sync automatically to your game and you will be allowed to create a party via psynet. you’ll see new in-game notifications alerting you to a party invite rather than a party invite from steam.
new events system
new events system introduces limited-time events that provide players with the opportunity to earn additional car customizations. there will add a new item named the 'decryptor,' (obtained as drops after online matches) players will be able to unlock any unopened crate in their inventory without having to purchase a key.
tournaments beta, party time and new events system plan to be added in game in later 2017, and aim to be a regular feature on all platforms in a future update for 2018. the additional information will be revealed later when they closer to launch.
