upcoming changes to how you’ll upgrade your weapon in the next update.
one of the ongoing concerns we see is the cost of weapon upgrades, and the difficulty of obtaining the upgrade materials. we’re taking steps to address this in our next update by reducing the evolution cost for silverfrost weapons to require 30% fewer materials and gold. in addition, we’re also introducing a new weapon path that further reduces the number of upgrade materials needed by an additional 50%—in exchange for a new offering weapon, new upgrade material, and faction insignias. these changes will not apply to legendary weapons.
new weapon path
to take advantage of the new path, you’ll need to acquire the following items: an offering weapon, silverfrost refining stone (new), and faction insignias.
here are the offering weapons and where they can be obtained:
chromatic weapon: tainted lab, the shrieking caverns, ebondrake hideout, beastbog, plog sanctum
tormented weapon: avalanche den, awakened necropolis, lair of the frozen fang
accursed weapon: sogun’s lament
the new silverfrost refining stone upgrade material can’t be traded and will be account bound. it can be collected from all of the purple and blue silverfrost dungeons; the full list of which can be found by pressing f7 in-game and selecting “silverfrost mountains” in the drop-down menu.
faction insignias are already present in the game and are mainly used for clan crafting. these can be acquired by participating in faction content such as soulstone plains, misty woods, etc.
we’ve also heard your requests for additional moonstone sources, and so we’ll also be adding more locations to earn them, and we’ll be providing more info on those sources as we get closer to the upcoming content release. we also want to make sure you can help gear up your alternate characters more quickly, and so we’ll also be making siren emblems and pirate emblems account-bound in the same update. more details on the new moonstone locations, other exciting changes, and our next content update will be announced soon, and we’re currently targeting to release the update near the end of august.
