as we all know, there is no traditional armor in blade&soul. instead, armor equipment is in the form of outfits.there are an array of costumes in blade & soul with some selling in the cash shop and some farmable. for those who don't want to spend bns gold in those fancy items, in fact, you can solo farm a lot of costumes in the game. here's part of the list of costumes that you can solo farm.
viridian coast
costumes: red mask( lv10 )
location: goldleaf foundry in gloomdross forest
dropped: last boss dusk adder overseer furin
drop rate: rare, farming 50 times
tips:you will need to farm goldleaf foundry in gloomdross forest for this. it has a chance to drop off the last boss (dusk adder overseer furin) but it is fairly rare so be mentally prepared to do 50 runs for this.
costumes: beast hunter(lv16 )
location: lair of the yutay in songshu isle
dropped: last boss
drop rate: rare
tips:for this costume, you will need to farm lair of the yutay in songshu isle of viridian coast. it drops off the last boss as well but drop rate doesn’t seem to be as bad as red mask.
costumes: bandit queen - gon female only(lv16 )
location: adder’s nest dungeon in songshu isle
dropped: last boss
drop rate: rare
tips:only farm this on a gon female toon as the costume is not tradeable. it has a low chance to drop off the last boss of adder’s nest dungeon in songshu isle.
costumes: ivory specter/red specter(lv25 )
location: sentinel coast area of songshu isle
dropped: guard insignias / blackram insignias
purchase: 30/40 insignias for premium membership. for non-premium membership, you can purchase them from the viridian valor stone vendor next to the windstride teleport location in jadestone village.
the cinderlands
costumes: pugilist / no worries - jin male only / summoner cat apron(lv36 )
location: the playpen dungeon in scorching sands
dropped: last boss
tips: this costume drops off the playpen mini dungeon in scorching sands. much like the other drops, it comes off the last boss encounter.
costumes obsidian serpent/black veil/cap(lv36 )
location: complete act 2 chapter 30 first, then unlock the daily mission from gunsang at the door called enroaching shadows
dropped: last boss and let the npc die in the end of the mission to the boss, if the npc survives, just abandon the daily mission and reacquire it.
drop rate: basically farming daily mission 100 times get all
costumes: crimson officer uniform/cerulean officer uniform(lv36 )
location: scorching sands
dropped: equip your faction uniform and kill opposite faction npcs. eventually two mini bosses will spawn and killing them will drop insignia you can exchange with your vendor at the camp.
tips: one of the most popular costume/adornments to farm. the costume looks slick and the adornments looks great for any assassin/ninja looks. to farm this, you will need to complete act 2 chapter 30. you will then unlock the daily mission from gunsang at the door called enroaching shadows.
moonwater plains
costumes: infinite challenger(lv43 )
location: sapphire basin region
dropped: naksun boss in dreadtide arena
this is a great costume for a kung fu master in blade&soul
costumes: secret agent(lv43 )
location: talus engineer corps instance of misty woods
dropped: superior combat automaton mob of daily quest from chun sanil in skyhaven perch
tips: while this costume is on ncstore, it also have a low chance to drop off the superior combat automaton mob in talus engineer corps instance of misty woods.
costumes: spirit veil (lv43 )
location: misty woods besieged camp area in moonwater plains
dropped: fetid priest that spawns as part of the daily quest far worse thing
tips:you can sort of solo this but probably helps if you have another player.
